Laufen CZ, s.r.o.

LAUFEN CZ s.r.o. is the biggest producer and seller of sanitary ware in the Czech Republic. Its products are being offered not only on the Czech and Slovak markets, but also Russia, Ukraine and Baltics belong to the traditional markets, newly also Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Rumania.

LAUFEN CZ s.r.o. was established in 1999 by the only one companion, the Swiss company Keramik Holding AG Laufen, as a sales company selling sanitary ware from the Czech producers Jihočeská keramika, a.s. Bechyně and Keramické závody, a.s. Znojmo with the brand name JIKA, but also selling sanitary ware from the affiliated companies of the Laufen Group.

But Keramik Holding AG Laufen has been operating since 1991 in the Czech Republic. In this year it has privatised one of the most important domestic sanitary ware producers Jihočeská keramika, a.s. Bechyně, one of the most progressive plants in Europe. In 1995 Keramik Holding AG Laufen added into its portfolio the next Czech sanitary ware producer Keramické závody, a.s. Znojmo, the oldest and traditional producer of sanitary ware in Europe. In 2002 these three Czech companies merged together and under the name LAUFEN CZ s.r.o. a company employing in production and sales of sanitary ware and bathroom accessories about 900 employees has been established.

Thanks to the merger with the Spanish company Compania Roca in 1999, Keramik Holding AG Laufen has ranked the position of the biggest European sanitary ware producer and the second biggest sanitary ware and bathroom accessories producer in the world. With the connection of these two important sanitary ware producers operating in different territories, a very advantageous geographical coverage has been achieved.
